about me

I graduated at National K-9 School for Dog Trainers’s Master trainer course in 2012 in the USA. The school has been educating dog trainers around the World since 1975.

Master Trainer’s course involves basic obedience, advanced obedience, behaviour modification, utility, puppy development, tracking, scent detection, personal protection, police K-9, retrieval, assistance dog training. The school is one of those few institutes where not just theoretical but also practical education is going on in the above mentioned topics and we had to pass the exams in writing and in practice too. The school provided me a labrador-beagle mix dog, Donny, to my course who was freshly rescued from a shelter and was adopted by a young couple after my exams.

Besides advanced obedience, I frequently deal with special cases so in order to keep myself up-to-date about new ways and techniques I’m member of the following organizations.

International Association of Canine Professionals:

USA based international organization to join forces of dog professionals (trainers, vets, therapists, groomers, etc.) around the World.

National K-9 Dog Trainers Association:

Association of National K-9 School for Dog Trainers where graduated dog trainer students can exchange experiences.

Next to dog training, I have been doing search & rescue with my own dogs since 2014. We search for lost people in forests and under collapsed buildings. My recent dog, Ninja passed the most sophisticated exam for rubble search (searching under collapsed buildings) dogs, the Mission Readiness Test organized by the International Rescue Dog Organization and has an advanced area search (searching in forest) exam as well.

Over and above I have been doing agility since 2004, sometimes on competition, sometimes on hobby level and we just started to get familiar with sheep herding.
